PROPOSED HOTEL AND MARINA DEVELOPMENT

The Huntworth Hotel and Marina development will be set in a 45 acre landscaped site alongside the Bridgwater - Taunton canal. It is conveniently situated for all parts of the South West and is easily accessible from junction 24 of the M5 motorway.

Situated on the edge of the Somerset Levels, an internationally renown wetlands area, a special feature of the development is the established wildfowl lakes which attract a variety of wild birds throughout the year, some of which nest on the site. A special interpretation centre will illustrate the important ecological and economic role of the inland waterways of Somerset.

The development will include a hotel, marina and self catering holiday apartments, details of which are given below.

Hotel

Marina

The Huntworth Marina has been designed to provide all the facilities required by both the boating enthusiast and those trying a holiday afloat for the first time. Marina Plan

The Marina facilities will include:

50 permanent moorings
35 visitor moorings
slipway
hardstanding and storage
facilities block (including a chemical disposal point)
on site manager
separate parking for berth users

Holiday Apartments

The 40 self catering apartments will be in five two storey blocks overlooking the wildfowl lakes. They will be available on a variety of terms, including shared ownership with management contracts. Each apartment will have 2 or 3 bedrooms, lounge/diner, kitchen and bathroom.

The Developer

The Huntworth Hotel and Marina is being developed by S. Notaro Ltd a well established local family firm. The company has its head office in Huntworth and the family live in the village over looking the wildfowl lakes which were conceived and constructed by Mr Sabato Notaro Snr, the companies founder.
